We are pleased to announce a new partnership with Maryland’s largest technology trade association for life science and technology, The Tech Council of Maryland (TCM).

The partnership is designed to deliver informative programming focused on talent acquisition to the Council’s members and to support higher education in science, technology, engineering, and math, (STEM).

Over the next year, CapRelo will host a series of programs to educate TCM members on talent management strategies. The first event, a Talent Acquisition Roundtable, is scheduled for November 20 and will focus on strategies for STEM-related talent recruiting and retention. Representatives from CapRelo and Helios HR will discuss how recruitment policies, benefits, and employment offers can give companies a strategic business advantage.

“CapRelo approached us with a unique strategic partnership, which went far beyond a traditional membership or scholarship program,” said Philip Schiff, TCM’s CEO. “We look forward to working with the companies to bring greater value to our membership as we continue efforts to ensure that Maryland high tech and life sciences business communities are world-class.”

The TCM is the largest technology trade group serving the advanced technology and biotechnology communities of Maryland. TCM’s mission is to advocate for the interests of the technology community, further the role of technology in the Maryland economy, and nurture an environment where technology companies can collaborate, grow, and succeed.

In addition, CapRelo’s sister company, JK Moving Services, will award a $2,500 scholarship to a student pursuing a STEM degree at a Maryland college or university. Criteria and application details for the scholarship will be announced in early 2015.
