Diversity, equity, inclusionGoogle the term “diversity, equity and inclusion” and you’ll get a whopping 394 MILLION search results. While the concept of diversity in business has been around for decades, it has never received more attention than now.  

But long before DE&I consultants, diversity training podcasts and trade press articles entered our daily business vernacular, CapRelo has been managing suppliers and reporting diversity, equity and inclusion spend for over 15 years. 

In our 23 years of managing global relocations, CapRelo has assisted literally hundreds of thousands of relocations across 160 countries and more than 150 global clients. Why do those organizations trust us – and award us with a close-to-100% client satisfaction rating? 

While there are many reasons, this I know: clients want to do business with a company that recognizes the value of working with a diverse supply chain. Companies that proactively engage with vendors that support these efforts benefit the community around us, provides greater innovation, and a distinct advantage. 

We partner with more than 400 unique diverse suppliers providing relocation services. The most prevalent diverse supplier classifications fall within: Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB), Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Women-Owned Small Business Enterprise (WOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB). In 2020 alone, CapRelo drove more than $17.5 million in diverse spend through our system. Our goal is to increase that by 10% year over year.  

We don’t do this because we think it is financially expedient, or because it’s the popular thing. We do it because respecting, promoting, and encouraging the success of others is simply the right thing to do. 

It is always CapRelo’s intent to use small business concerns, especially those in real estate and property management, to fulfill and exceed our own diversity targets. For example, we also look for opportunities to assist companies who do not carry a veteran-owned designation but who are still owned by those who have proudly served our nation with honor.  We are strongly committed to using small business through all our endeavors, and we understand the importance of giving such concerns every opportunity to succeed.
