We recently sat down with John to learn more about his role at CapRelo and what he enjoys doing in his spare time.
What does it mean to be Vice President of Business Development and Sales?
CapRelo has put its trust in my capabilities to grow our brand within the Federal Government and I am excited about that. My primary focus and principal goal is to ensure we meet and exceed the expectations of the federal government so that CapRelo remains its supplier/provider of choice. From my view, I believe I have the responsibility for ensuring that goal is achieved.
How long have you been with CapRelo? What's your favorite part about your position?
I have been with CapRelo since May, so roughly eight months. My favorite part about being with the company is interacting with our current clients and future prospects. This is only the third company I have ever worked for and am new to the relocation business. I find it very intriguing, challenging, and rewarding.
Even though I have a broad range of experience working directly with the federal government, this industry is new territory for me and I see limitless opportunities ahead. It is invigorating.
What do you do in your spare time, what are some of your interests?
I'm like that 6 year child whose mom can't get them back in the house for dinner. I really enjoy spending my spare time outdoors. Most of my time is spent landscaping or doing outside home improvements. This could be at my own home or just helping out a friend. When not in the yard I am enjoying another passion - being on the water.
I've owned a boat for most of my adult life and really enjoy the relaxation of being on the water by boat or Jet Ski. I admit I have too many toys. I bought my first Harley in 2003. I grew up on dirt bikes and have owned motor bikes of all shapes and sizes.
Finally, I enjoy sports. More recently, I've been more interested in golf - however I only find time for that when we go on vacation! I have four dogs, two cats, and a bird.
