Matt Tandy manages the service team for CapRelo's government clients and is the quality control point for them and their relocating employees.
We recently sat down with Matt to find out more about him and what he enjoys doing in his spare time.
Who is "Matt Tandy?" – Where do you come from, what is your background, what do you do?
I grew up in Southern CA along the coast, enjoying ocean activities. After graduating from college with a degree in Geology, I moved to Colorado and worked as a geologist in the oil/gas industry, moving into management and obtaining an MBA degree. With the market change in the mid-80’s causing the oil/gas industry to fall out, I obtained a residential real estate broker license. I was a real estate broker and assisted with the management of a real estate office in the Denver area.
Nearly 20 years ago, I had an opportunity to join a relocation company owned by Mickey Williams, and I began my career in relocation. I held a number of positions, including account and operations management, relocation counselor and inventory specialist.
I have been with CapRelo for six years now, beginning in appraisal management. Now I am a Director in Client Development, managing both the relationship with our government clients and the operations of our government services team.
How long have you been with CapRelo, and what is your favorite part about your position?
I have been with CapRelo for six years, and the favorite part of my position is how I can have an impact on the success of CapRelo and the enterprise each and every day, working with both our clients and my team members.
What do you do in your spare time, what are some of your interests?
In my spare time, I enjoy time with my wife and family, taking on outdoor activities like skiing, golf, attending sporting events, hiking, snowshoeing, biking, etc., as you would think most of us from Colorado love to do!
