Meet Patrick Cacho: VP of Global Business Development

Posted by Shirien Elamawy on Mon, Mar 09, 2015

We recently sat down with Patrick to learn more about his role at CapRelo and what he enjoys doing in his spare time.

1. Who is “Patrick Cacho?” – Where do you come from, what is your background, what do you do?

I grew up in New York City and graduated from the City University of New York with a degree in Psychology. Soon after graduating from CUNY, I went on a business trip to Santa Barbara and Los Angeles and decided I definitely wanted to relocate to California. A year after that infamous trip, I relocated to San Francisco where I met my bride, Marilyn, of 30 years. We have two sons who were competitive collegiate golfers and graduates of Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business.

I joined CapRelo as a VP Global Business Development for the Western Region and I bring over 20 years of RMC experience where I served in a variety of roles including operations, account management and sales. I have also owned two executive search firms.

2. How long have you been with CapRelo, and what is your favorite part about your position?

I started at CapRelo on January 5th and it has been a great new experience. During my interviews, I was impressed to learn that CapRelo has enjoyed 100% client retention for the past 6 years. This spoke volumes about CapRelo's “culture of service,” which was exactly the type of work environment and culture I wanted to be a part of.

When you are selling in the consulting industry, you want to represent a company that has a great reputation for service and delivers on their promises! I am passionate about helping others. I truly enjoy working with global mobility professionals that work for some of the largest corporations on the Fortune 1000 list, as well as some of the fastest growing companies in the world. It’s exciting to learn about a prospect’s workforce mobility issues and then help them to customize solutions to make their jobs, and the relocations of their employees, easier and stress free.

3. What do you do in your spare time, what are some of your interests?

I value quality time spent with family and close friends. I enjoy traveling with my family, especially to one of our favorite places, the Hawaiian Islands. I like taking hikes into the San Jacinto Mountains, playing racquetball, watching all types of sports, playing golf with the family and going to some of the “major” golf tournaments.

Some other interests include having some laughs over a good glass of wine or a great craft beer and recently, I have started learning how to oil paint landscape scenes. Still on the bucket list is learning the piano so I can play "As Time Goes By," from my favorite movie "Casablanca," and maybe one day, retiring in Hawaii!

Meet John Travers: CapRelo's VP of Business Development and Sales

Posted by Shirien Elamawy on Tue, Jan 06, 2015

We recently sat down with John to learn more about his role at CapRelo and what he enjoys doing in his spare time.

What does it mean to be Vice President of Business Development and Sales?

CapRelo has put its trust in my capabilities to grow our brand within the Federal Government and I am excited about that.  My primary focus and principal goal is to ensure we meet and exceed the expectations of the federal government so that CapRelo remains its supplier/provider of choice.   From my view, I believe I have the responsibility for ensuring that goal is achieved.

How long have you been with CapRelo? What's your favorite part about your position?

I have been with CapRelo since May, so roughly eight months.  My favorite part about being with the company is interacting with our current clients and future prospects.  This is only the third company I have ever worked for and am new to the relocation business.  I find it very intriguing, challenging, and rewarding.

Even though I have a broad range of experience working directly with the federal government, this industry is new territory for me and I see limitless opportunities ahead. It is invigorating.

What do you do in your spare time, what are some of your interests?

I'm like that 6 year child whose mom can't get them back in the house for dinner.  I really enjoy spending my spare time outdoors.  Most of my time is spent landscaping or doing outside home improvements.  This could be at my own home or just helping out a friend. When not in the yard I am enjoying another passion - being on the water.

I've owned a boat for most of my adult life and really enjoy the relaxation of being on the water by boat or Jet Ski.  I admit I have too many toys.  I bought my first Harley in 2003.    I grew up on dirt bikes and have owned motor bikes of all shapes and sizes.

Finally, I enjoy sports.  More recently, I've been more interested in golf - however I only find time for that when we go on vacation!  I have four dogs, two cats, and a bird.

CapRelo Employees Host Halloween Event at "The Gathering Place"

Posted by Shirien Elamawy on Thu, Nov 06, 2014

On Friday, October 31st CapRelo employees hosted a charitable event at "The Gathering Place" in Denver, Colorado.

The Gathering Place is Denver's only daytime drop-in center for women, children, and transgender individuals who are experiencing homelessness and poverty.

Since 1986, they have been a community of safety and hope.

For Halloween, CapRelo employees hosted an event full cheer. Costumes, Halloween books, bags of candy, food, and other supplies were all donated to the center.

The kids had games, cookie decorating, and stories being read aloud to them.

"Happiness came from making one little boy smile and giggle as if he had no care in the world," said Lorraine Gunsauls, Relocation Counselor.

The Hyatt also donated men and women's kits of toiletries such as shavers, deodorant, toothbrushes, and more.

Special thank you to Keela Shumard, Tamara Bianchi and her son Preston, Lorraine Gunsauls, Karen Pocius, Cindy Klammer, Nicole Overholt, Andrea Tate and the whole Denver CapRelo team for putting this event together and making it a success.

Below are some pictures from the event.
